We are professional teachers, dedicated to the success of your student.  As educators, we offer a unique perspective on student achievement and success.   In our center, students are assigned to small groups of 2 to3 students by their individual needs and skill level.  From our own experience, we believe the learning of each student is enhanced in small group settings.  Many researchers agree that cooperative, small groups make for a collaborative and more productive learning environment.  We are excited to be a part of your child’s success this school year!

  60 Minute Sessions

40 minutes Skill Work  It is our belief that mastering these concepts and skills will allow students to transfer this mastery to their work at school and to their home work.

20 minutes Homework Help  We know that students sometimes have specific questions on their homework or projects and they need further assistance with it. This time will be set aside for them to get a head start so they can finish independently.

Skill Mastery:  Groups will be working on mastering specific skills within one subject area.

Math:  Using the Key Math3 Assessment tool, students will be given a comprehensive, in-depth, assessment, which will allow us to design a program to target weak areas of development.
Writing:   Students will learn how to format a basic essay, in any genre, enabling them to clearly express their thoughts.
Reading:  Students will learn a variety of reading strategies to help them continue their progress with fluency and comprehension
Science:  Students will learn how to read and interpret science text and increase understanding of important concepts with hands-on activities.

Enrichment:  Groups will focus on pushing students to reach curriculum goals past their grade level.  Content in enrichment groups will cater to the needs of the students

Students have the benefit of peer grouping to enhance their learning through communication and interaction with multiple perspectives.

Students create a network with peers to help them throughout the educational year and to build interpersonal teamwork skills.

Small group tutoring is more cost efficient for parents and keeps students engaged in their learning.

Students benefit from the commitment they make to their group by sticking with a tutoring routine, allowing them to prepare for their next session, where they will look forward to meeting with their group.

Students have a comfortable environment where they can feel free to express their needs and concerns.  Without the distractions of home, students can dedicate their focus to learning.

As students feel more equipped with the skills they need to succeed, they will become more motivated at school.

As students feel more equipped with the skills they need to succeed, they will become more motivated at school.
